KITCH-ITI-KIPI Big Spring Michigan

I drove up to michigns upper pininsulla to dive some shipwrecks and kayak the amazing pictured rocks national lakeshore, but before stopping there I made a stop at Kitch-Iti-Kipi Big Spring Michigan.

This is a fascinating  resurgence sinkhole the spouts 10,00 gallons of water from limestone layers through different fissures in the ground. the water temp is a constant 45 degrees so in the winter it never freezes but it gives you quite a bite when you touch the water.

Ancient tree trunks, mineral-encrusted branches and fat trout appear to be suspended in nothingness as they slip through crystal waters far below. Clouds of sand kept in constant motion by gushing waters create ever-changing shapes

There is a handtug trolly boat that people can take out into the center of the pond to view the white sand boils and the circular sink

This is a large sink and very odd especially for this region so it makes me wonder what is really going on under ground.  There is one of the biggest halite deposits under the limestone but what is interesting about this sink is that there is a constant flow of water which does not happen anywhere else in the region.

When I observed the sink it was just a beautiful clear blue water hole like on of the caves in florida or mexico but not actual cave.  I watched a video of police divers doing a "clean-Up" and attempting to go into the boil with no success.

Can this lead to a massive underwater network of underwater passage?

Interesting video of a Diver in the spring: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2e2bFJrxL0w

Notice how the Trout stay at a certain depth and take note of some of the dead trout at the bottom of the spring. I wonder if the water has elements of salt, sulfur, or a hypoxic contaminate that killed some of the trout and the trout stay at a certain depth to avoid a high percentage of some toxin.
