West Rim Trail Zion National Park, Utah.
The West Rim trail is a famous Zion National Park trail that starts up near Lava Point and going all the way down through Angels landing to the valley floor.

We hiked almost 6 miles of this trail to reach the Imlay Canyon Full Route which starts at potato Hollow.

This was a beautiful hiking trail on the Plateau as we started from Lav point.  It was dark when we started our trek on the trail and as the miles clicked by, the sun started to come up and cast a beautiful orange hue over the plateau vista.

We stopped periodically to check out the views and overlooks which was quite nice to see in the morning sun.

As we continued our hike on the trail we passed some interesting flora and eventually started to head downhill into a small valley.

The scenery was beautiful with some of the leaves changing and the grasslands changing colors with the autumn season among us.

We continued to hike into the potato hollow area and realized that we passed our turn and had to traverse back into potato hollow and the start of Imlay Canyon.

The hike turned into a dispersed hike and we spread out to find the best entry point for Imlay Canyon.

The birch trees were a beautiful site to see and the floor gave way to the infamous Imlay canyon shortly afterwards for the start of our epic 13 hr adventure.

I highly recommend the West Rim trail especially in the morning hours to get the beautiful sunrise and the amazing vista views while enjoying the cooler temps in the high desert.
