Basalt cave is another Coconino forest Lava Tube cave located in Arizona.

This cave had a small entrance that soon opened up into a large chamber with around700ft of walking passage.

There are some sections that you have to crawl but the cave had a decent size to it as it was around 20ft to the ceiling and 30 or more feet in width.

There appeared to be data loggers and other studies that were on going and active ( which we did not touch) and there was a marked trail to follow so we would not have an impact on the floor around the cave itself.

I was pretty impressed with this one as it opened up into some sizable passage and kept going.  The floor was slippery and muddy which made this cave still active.
