It is estimated that these flows have been formed between 1000 years ago and 6 million years ago but the western region, where this tube is located, more in the range of 1 million to 6 million years old.

One direction had some interesting formations on the walls with corrosion residue embedded into the basalt and another section had a interesting lava bed down a tube.

There was also a entrance in the wall that appeared to lead to another passage but we did not make it up there due to the time crunch.
