Cave Point Door County

We got out to Door County around noon time and went to visit three shipwrecks in a bay before visiting the county park.  The park itself was pretty nice but there were a lot of people in the area so we broke out the inflatable kayak and took it out on the calm flat water Lake Michigan.

The Park it itself was limestone and had some nice cliff features and a spire outcrop with a pine tree which was interesting to see.  We got out on the lake and were able to put some distance between us and the other visitors. The water was surprisingly clear but it was quite cold out there.

We also saw the small sea caves on the shoreline and one cave we were able to back the kayak into which was interesting. There were shelves and other limestone shoals near the shoreline which made this place a nice stop and a good destination for anyone visiting Door County.
