SUNBEAM CAVE, ARIZONA

December 13, 2015

Sunbeam cave is a Arizona cave that seems to get some traffic from the local caving community and other people with the damage that has occurred within this cave.

This is a callout for protection for this cave and all caves for that matter for anyone who chooses to visit them.

These caves play a significant role to research and the environment, as well as create a residence for many living organisms.

Please respect these and all caves by learning about the world of responsible caving through a local grotto, for example.

This is a vertical cave and you must have training in order to enter this cave.

At the bottom of the cave you will find canyon passage for a few hundred feet in length that appears to be a fault within the earth.

We found that the entrance drop has been desecrated with red paint.  This is very destructive and damaging to the cave and living organisms.

If you are interested in learning more about caving, please reach out to me or your local grotto.

We can make a difference, even if you are not interested in caving.
