White owl canyon is a non technical canyon located within the Lake Mead National Recreational area in Nevada.

 It is interesting to note that at one point, this canyon was underwater but due to the lower water levels of this lake, this canyon is now exposed to the surface.

This canyon is a straightforward walk through mud stone and conglomerate stone meandering canyon with breaks to the rolling hills above.

 The canyon reminded me a bit of the Muav limestone layer in the grand canyon with the horizontal combed like rock on the walls.

 You can go up and down this canyon for a couple hour trip or make a loop out of the area by gaining the shoreline trail and descending another drainage to find some more narrow sections.

No ropes or technical equipment will be needed to view this canyon, its great for everyone to enjoy.

 There is a good place to park at the overlook where you can hike down into owl canyon and spend a couple hours hiking around the area.

 I recommend this canyon is you are looking to get out for a Sunday morning and get into some nice canyon while having the majority of the day for something else to do.
