PYRITE PIT, UTAH

Pyrite pit is another high elevation pit that is located in Utah's high karst plateau.
This Pit has two vertical rooms that are both accessible to get off at, on rope.
There is a 30 ft drop that takes you down into the first room and another 50 ft drop that is basically a free air drop down to the bottom.
This bottom room was decorated for the area with flowstone and some interesting formations. The room ended so it is just a blind pit.
WE snapped a few photos in this room and started our way out of the cave to head over to the numerous other caves within the region.
This was my favorite pit out of the others that are in the area and I highly recommend this cave.
