Tanner Wash is a Marble canyon canyoneering route that can be combined with a few canyons to make a day trip or a multi day trip depending on your interest level.

You must obtain permits to be on Navajo land as you will park your car on the Navajo Nation and head into the grand canyon territory.

There are some sections of short narrows but the bulk of the canyon is mainly walking in a open gorge like setting.  The end of the canyon is a rap into the Colorado river so you must have your pack raft ready and deployed before you hit the bottom.

I would say that this is a pretty good into into the marble canyon section of the grand canyons but there are a lot more canyons in the area that I would prefer to go to.
