Once we rigged and got to the bottom of the cave, we noticed some of the side passages and we went to check out the ones low and high.

There appears to be a high lead that might extend the cave and uncover more formation rooms.

About half way up the drop, you can get off rope and there is a side passage that goes into a gallery room of formations. This area kept going and eventually choked out.

I snapped a few photos and we started to re rig and head out of the cave when we were done. I was restricted on time so we had to head out.

I was surprised to see the cave in great condition and to see this room inside the mountain.

I am sure there are more caves in this area and I know that a bunch of us want to get back up there and do some ridge walking.

This is a cave that cavers and the South Nevada Grotto want to keep quiet to protect the cave from destruction and human injury. That being said, we will be more than happy to take people to Tea Kettle and other caves if you are properly trained and can uphold the same conduct that abide by to protect the caves. Please reach out to you local grotto, The Southern Nevada Grotto, or just reach out to me. We will do everything we can to prepare you to visit Tea Kettle and other caves.
