I went out to do some ridgewalking and I came across this massive void at the base of a mountain.

All the signs were there for a significant cave: a large void at the base of a mountain, limestone with other caves in the area, I was walking up a fissure leading to the cave. The entrance is trending down, everything was there to be a significant cave.

Except for the cave. I was sure I found something amazing and gave me even more motivation to get up 1600 ft of gain in a mile and a half.

The rock was crumbly and it appeared that layers would just peel off and collapse on itself.

I decided to call this Golden Gate Sink since it is a sink at the bottom with two small rooms that do not leave the light zone. I am hard pressed to call it a cave.
