WATERSLIDES CANYON 3BIII. ARIZONA

April 11, 2022

Waterslides canyon is another Arizona classic canyon with some fun slides and a few rappels.

I found this canyon to be more like a fun water park with some rappelling involved.

the first section of the canyon was somewhat narrow with some nice scenery and rappels that came one after another.

The canyon opened up to a wash that slowly stepped down into a section where water was slightly flowing, and pools of water were present.

This reminded me a bit of the 7 teacups in California but not as dramatic.

The pools of water were a lot of fun to jump and slide into.

The sun was out so it was nice to have a cool off in the heat.

There are no walls on this canyon but the slides and the beautiful moss made this place quite nice.

We encountered some rappelling up to around 80 feet in this canyon.

We were hoping to combine this with the jug but by the time we got back to the car and the shuttle was complete. it was around 9 hours and we needed to be up at shake tree canyon so we ended up skipping out on the jug.

If you are in the area I highly recommend this canyon for the fun slides and the straightforward nature of this canyon

Make sure you do your research before entering this canyon along with researching the weather.  This is for documenting purposes only and if you need official beta, check out ropewiki for more information.
