DAY 3 DESERT CAVING

April 10, 2016

Day 3 and our last day out in the desert, the crew wanted to get a couple more caves so we stopped by one cave that was a gypsum canyon like passage.  It was quite small in length but it had some nice corrosion residue and gypsum crust peeling off the wall.

We headed over to another gypsum cave that was vertical with some passage at the bottom of the cave.  I rigged to a couple of trees and everyone was able to get to the bottom and back up without any issues at all. This cave was quite dusty and had some keyed in rock in the passage that looked like it was about to give out.

I decided not to pursue the passage but took a few pictures and let everyone else have fun in the cave. All in all we went to 11 caves this weekend and had a blast.
