After we all got sun burned in the 102 degree heat on Lake Powell we grabbed some burgers and in Page and decompressed for a bit before heading up the road to Alstrom Point.

The dirt road to Alstrom Point was a really nice and scenic drive up through some badlands and plateau desert with blooming flowers and terrain variation until we got closer to the point which is where the 4x4 starts to come into place.

There was some sketchy road and at times it did not even look like a road.

Unfortunatly we missed the sunset but the moon was illuminating the horizon and the lake below which was a beautiful site to see.

We could see the boats docked in the coves for miles in every direction and I am sure they could see our lone fire pit at the top where we had the eagle eye of Lake Powell and the horizon beyond the lake.

We ended up getting to sleep early and I woke up so I could get a couple photos of the sun rising above the horizon which reminded me a bit of Island in the Sky but with a beautiful lake below us.

The sun was hot right away and blaring down upon us so we wanted to make sure we got an early start back so we would have enough time to settle in for the remaining Sunday.

I am presently surprised at how much I enjoyed renting Jet Skis and camping up at Alstrom point over the weekend. This was a fantastic place with a beautiful view with friends.  I cant wait to go back sometime son.
