Cherry Canyon is nice half day 3AII can just off the highway in the virgin river gorge. The canyon has some easy access since it is right off of interstate 15.

Cherry canyon is a great canyon with rapid fire raps, up to 85feet and is a dry limestone canyon. This is a great canyon if you want to run just a half day trip and you want something a bit more casual.

Check rope wiki for the right beta and information on running Cherry Canyon but we brought a 200ft rope and another 100ft rope.  We feel that we had too much rope and that 1 200 ft rope or (2) 100ft ropes should work, again check rope wiki for more information.

The hike up with a nice steady hill to the top of the ridge.  I love being around limestone so I was enjoying myself and it was nice to get out for a day.

The raps are straightforward and the come in quick succession which is also a nice addition to this route.

The pulls were also easy and straight ford so this is a great canyon to practice some skill sets and is beginner friendly with good leadership.

The canyon bends around a bit but makes a complete loop once you exit the canyon itself.

Make sure you leave all of your valuables at home or bring them with since you are parking right off the highway and it will be a bit of a buzzkill to come back to a broken window.

There will be a river crossing and you want to make sure you check the river conditions before making the attempt to cross. The virgin river can get quite dangerous since it is draining a large radius.
