Devils throat is a sinkhole that is located outside of Las Vegas in the Gold Butte recreational area. in Nevada. 

This is a sinkhole that appears to be between 30 and 60ft deep with no passage at the bottom. 

The edge of this sink is quite brittle and appears to be crumbling at the edge so if you get too close, you might cause a collapse and take a tumble down into the sink. 

The sinkhole is worth a stop in the road but I would not consider this a destination spot.
